We don't recommend our users use Word or Publisher to create email campaigns. These applications create additional styling and HTML code that can cause layout problems and delivery issues, like a higher possibility of spam filtering. Plus, once that code's in place, it often can't be changed. 

Prevent Extra Code

To prevent this extra code, Paste your text into Microsoft Notepad when you copy your content from Word / Publisher. Then save it. Close the file, reopen it, and then copy and paste the text from Notepad into the Engage content editor. This will strip out the junk code and most of the formatting, allowing you to paste the usable text content into the content editor in Engage while avoiding potential formatting problems.

Another option is to simply do all of the editing of your content in the Engage content editor itself.
